Over 5,000 different frog species live in temperate and tropical habitats worldwide. They come in all different sizes and colours, but they all share the same basic shape, with large hind legs that are excellent for jumping, swimming and digging. They absorb water and oxygen through their thin damp skin and need watery environments to stop them drying out.
Don’t be misled by their tiny size, these tiny frogs are poisonous to the touch!
