While the cruel and unnecessary process of cosmetic testing on animals is banned in many countries, it is still allowed in the US. As a result, millions of animals are suffering and dying as part of cruel experiments. The Humane Cosmetics Act (H.R. 2790) would prohibit all testing of cosmetics of animals in the US, but it needs support. Take Action Now.

Cosmetics testing on animals is a cruel and unnecessary process banned in many countries including India, Israel, Norway and the European Union (EU). Unfortunately, however, animal testing is still allowed in the U.S. Animals are put through horrible and painful tests to determine whether cosmetic products, such as shampoos, soaps and deodorants, are safe for use on humans, with often unapplicable results – what is safe for animals, isn’t necessarily safe for humans. Many alternative cruelty-free testing methods exist and, in the US at least – China is a different story – animal testing is not mandatory for a product to be considered OK for humans, so is pointless. The Humane Cosmetics Act (H.R. 2790) would prohibit all testing on animals of cosmetics products manufactured or sold in the US, but it needs your support – Take Action Now!
